The lyrics are from “Lights (Hikari)” included in Hopes, a collection of poems, published in 2003 by NHK Publishing, I nc. This is a collection of excellent poems in submission to the compulsory work for the seventieth memorial NHK All-Jap an School Choir Competition. This is a chorus piece based on lyrics which junior high school student wrote. This song ha s a message of ”Even in feelings of desolation and despair, don't lose hope and move forward to save our beautiful eart h.” This message responded to many students and has been si nging to many of them. Four parts mixed chorus version is fi nally published, which made it easier for adult chorus to e njoy.
