poetry of sermon by the ex-chief priest of Enpukuji, a temple of the Soto sect in Nagano prefecture. Melodies are in simple composition and they fit perfectly with the lyrics. The
lyrics, “place your shoes neatly” or “put them in order
” are clearly gathered with the homophony in Japanese and it will “united into one” to the singers’ hearts. This song is not too difficult to work with, so that it is suitable for choirs in variety of generations.
